Osteopathic Pain & Stress Reduction
Osteopathic Pain & Stress Reduction is ideal for anyone experiencing pain, stiffness, or tension that limits daily comfort or movement. It can help people recovering from injuries, those with ongoing back, neck, or joint pain, and anyone dealing with postural strain from work, exercise, or stress. Many also find osteopathy helpful for headaches, digestive discomfort, or fatigue linked to muscle and joint tension, and many other health conditions.
If you’re looking for gentle, hands-on care that treats the root cause of pain and supports your body’s natural healing, Osteopathic Pain & Stress Reduction offers a safe and effective path toward lasting relief and improved wellbeing.
Osteopathic Wellness
Osteopathic Wellness supports older adults’ wellness by gently improving mobility, circulation, and overall comfort. As the body ages, joints can stiffen and muscles may lose flexibility, which can affect balance, coordination, and ease of movement. Osteopathic treatment uses soft, hands-on techniques to release tension, enhance joint mobility, and improve blood and lymph flow – helping reduce stiffness and discomfort. This can make everyday activities such as walking, bending, and reaching easier and more comfortable, promoting independence and confidence.
Beyond easing aches and mobility issues, osteopathy can help older adults maintain overall vitality and wellbeing. By supporting the body’s natural balance and function, treatment encourages better posture, improved sleep, and a sense of relaxation. It can also complement medical care for age-related conditions like arthritis or chronic pain, helping the body move and heal more efficiently. Regular Osteopathic Wellness can therefore play a key role in helping older adults stay active, mobile, and engaged in the activities they enjoy.

Osteopathic Soft Tissue Treatment (Osteo-Massage)
120-minute appointment
Helping you relax, move freely and reconnect with your body.
Imagine a treatment that begins with a luxurious therapeutic massage and finishes with the precision of Manual Osteopathy.
A two-part hands-on experience that combines therapeutic soft tissue massage work, drawing on Max’s experience in Swedish massage, deep tissue therapy, sports massage, fascia release, Shiatsu, Ayurvedic head massage, using oils and balms followed by manual osteopathy to reduce tension, restore mobility and support whole-body wellbeing.
Osteopathic Soft Tissue Treatment (Osteo-Massage) is a two-part session designed to relax the body while improving movement and function. The session begins with therapeutic soft tissue techniques using oils and balms to ease muscular tension, followed by manual osteopathy incorporating joint, fascial and Shiatsu-inspired techniques to restore balance, mobility and whole-body function.
During the first part of the session, you’ll be professionally draped while the areas being treated are exposed one at a time. For the second phase you’ll be treated fully clothed, so loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.
What to Expect
Phase One – Therapeutic Soft Tissue Treatment
The first part of your session is performed directly on the skin, like Swedish massage, using high-quality therapeutic oils or balms. Gentle osteopathic soft tissue techniques help release muscular tension, improve circulation, reduce stress and prepare the body for manual osteopathy.
Phase Two – Manual Osteopathic Treatment
Once the soft tissues have relaxed the remainder of the session is carried out fully clothed. This phase combines manual osteopathic techniques with Max’s unique blend of osteopathy and Shiatsu to improve joint mobility, reduce restrictions and support whole-body balance.
Every treatment is individually tailored to you.
Leave feeling lighter.
Move more freely.
Breathe more deeply.
Reconnect with your body.
Is this treatment right for me?
Never had osteopathy or never experienced manual therapy before? A little nervous about your first treatment?
Then we recommend our Osteopathic Soft Tissue Treatment. It gives time to help your body relax before we begin the manual osteopathic treatment.
This treatment may be suitable if you are looking to:
- Relieve muscular tension and stiffness
- Unwind physical stress and fatigue
- Improve flexibility and mobility
- Support recovery from exercise
- Complement your osteopathic care
- Enjoy a deeply relaxing therapeutic experience
Why Two Phases?
Before the body can move well, it often needs to feel safe enough to let go. Beginning with therapeutic soft tissue work allows the muscles, fascia and nervous system to relax, helping prepare the body for the manual osteopathic treatment that follows. This sequential approach often enables treatment to be performed more comfortably while supporting improved movement and overall function.

Osteopathy and Therapeutic Bodywork Are Not Just for Pain Relief
You don’t need to be experiencing pain or injury to benefit from treatment.
Many clients book sessions simply to relax, reduce stress, release tension, and support their overall wellbeing. Through a combination of osteopathic techniques, therapeutic bodywork, and gentle hands-on treatment, sessions can help improve mobility, circulation, flexibility, and nervous system regulation.
While many people associate relaxation treatments with massage, clients are often surprised by how deeply calming and restorative osteopathic treatment can feel. For some, regular sessions become an important part of maintaining their health, managing stress, and feeling their best.
Whether you’re seeking relief from a specific issue or simply looking to restore balance and recharge, treatments are tailored to support your individual goals and wellbeing.
Preparing for Your Home Visit
Very little preparation is required on your part.
Your therapist will bring a portable treatment table, stool, and any equipment needed for the session, including hygiene and sanitation supplies where appropriate.
All you need to do is ensure there is a suitable space available for treatment and wear comfortable clothing.
Home Treatment Space Requirements
A spare room, living room, family room, or other quiet space is usually ideal.
The portable treatment table measures approximately 6 feet by 3 feet and requires some additional space around it so the therapist can move comfortably during treatment.
For the best experience, the room should be:
- Quiet and free from interruptions
- Well-lit
- Comfortably warm
- Reasonably ventilated
A warm environment helps the body relax and allows muscles and tissues to respond more comfortably to treatment.
What Should I Wear?
Osteopathic treatments are performed fully clothed, so please wear comfortable, loose-fitting clothing that allows easy movement.
Suitable clothing includes:
- Yoga wear
- Athletic or gym clothing
- T-shirts
- Sweatpants
- Leggings
- Shorts
Please avoid:
- Jeans or denim clothing
- Tight or restrictive garments
- Belts
- Skirts or dresses
No oils or lotions are used during treatment.
What Should I Wear for Osteopthic Soft Tissue Treatment (Osteo-Massage)?
During the first part of the session, you’ll be professionally draped while the areas being treated are exposed one at a time. For the second phase you’ll be treated fully clothed, so loose, comfortable clothing is recommended.
